September 29, 2008

Oh my goodness! I'm looking at my schedule coming up and have discovered that the week of october 13 is going to be a madhouse for me. The APO is back to our main concert series, with a concert of Debussy's 'Images' and the Philip Glass sax concerto. We also have a 'season preview 2009' concert, and I'm playing with the Auckland Chamber Orchestra in an incredible program: Beethoven Quintet for winds, Beethoven Sextet for winds, and Beethoven Septet. All a lot of horn work. And I'm rodie-ing after the Debussy concert (on the work crew to move the tons of percussion, chairs, and stands back from the Town Hall to our rehearsal venue). All in all 11 rehearsals, 3 concerts, and a rodie.

I just don't know how I'm supposed to find the time to be practicing for an audition at the same time!?

Then the following week I have completely off!

(I'm especially looking forward to the Beethoven chamber music)
