I've been visiting camille in philly for two weeks now.

We're both so happy!

Some highlights so far:

I advanced to the semifinals in the vancouver symphony audition which I took on the way over.

We've been going to quaker meeting. The local meeting is in an original meeting house and they're doing some hip renovations- a green roof, solar panels, and digging holes a half mile deep in their sidewalk for geothermal heat.

We made a blusterful trip to Massachusetts for Thanksgiving week- visiting both sides of Camille's family (including a visit to camille's grandparents' church to help pack thanksgiving meals for the poor- we didn't see much of the grandparents as we spent most of the morning in the back of a police car delivering the meals), visiting my grandparents and family and naomi for thanksgiving (Camille has met nearly everyone now!), and visiting visiting old friends and roomies in Boston and hearing the Boston Symphony with Naomi before getting back on the Chinatown bus marathon back to Philly.

other adventures include:

turning a pumpkin into pie

turning egg into nog

turning camille into a chess champion on a lovely new set (thanks Donal!)

pumpkin pie making

pumpkin pie eating

Does Camille have a chess handicap? I am impresssed that you hang in there to play, Camille; I quit after a few drubbings by Ian.
