What an amazing moment!
Carl and I listened together as the results came in- me curled up in bed in Philly with my old radio and about five news websites open, and Carl watching on tv from his house in New Zealand. (I was surprised that Carl seemed to get each morsel of news a few seconds before I did, even from the other side of the globe!)
Philadelphia cheered and honked almost as loud and long as they did when the Phillies won last week... my favorite was when a car drove by honking in bursts of three short honks, which made everyone chant "yes! we! can!"
