Ethics Question #1

Fiji Water bottles it's water in Fiji in and ships it thousands of miles to be consumed in the united states where clean water is readily available (from every tap even!). Recently Fiji Water has made news by becoming the first bottled water company to go carbon negative. They claim to be offsetting their emissions by 120% This obviously raises lots of questions: which emissions are being offset? Emissions from production, and transportation? What does 'offset' really mean?

Irregardless, is it ethical to drink bottled water from the other side of the planet even if it's 'carbon negative'; when fresh drinking water is already pumped in by pipe to every building in north america?
