But first I'm going to blog.
On the saturday of Waitangi Day weekend, my friend Michael and I made plans to bike to the Auckland Internatinal Buskers Festival, then catch the ferry across the harbor to Denvonport and ride our bikes up the coast, stopping on beaches to swim - then catch some more of the buskers festival in the evening on our return.
Dave Chameleon from the UK and his slack wire knife juggling. Funny engaging show, but his grand finale was much better when we caught the tail end of his act again later in the night.
After the 3PM ferry ride to davenport, biking in the heat.....easy to see that I need a swim break soon...
Ahh the beach! Holiday weekend and perfect summer weather meant all the beaches were packed. Rangitoto Island on the horizon. Not visible in this picture, but we could also see the Louis Vuitton Cup being raced - and literally a sea of hundreds of other boats following the big yachts along the course.
My friend Michael - post beer beach wanderings.
The road back to Davenport and the ferry
View from the ferry heading back to Auckland
Back in Auckland the Brothers From Nowhere juggle some burning torches while unicycling and stilting high off the ground.
It was a fun trip which did NOT end in sunburn thankfully.
Perhaps Camille and I will take the bike trip again, but make it further up the coast. So many beaches so little time!

Welcome to New Zealand Camille - you should be on the ground now. I enjoyed the pics of the bike ride and buskers but missed the pics of the Louis Vitton boats - will you be watching the finals between Alinghi and NZ?
Dad
Your pictures make Auckland look so inviting... mom
